Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Rain Jacket Flashing Systems ("Rain Jacket," "we," "us") collects through rainjacketflashings.com, why, and what we do with it. In short: we collect what you choose to send us so we can answer you, plus the basic visit data every website receives. We don't sell any of it.

What you send us

The quote form asks for your name, email address, phone number, what kind of customer you are and where the project is. You can also give your company name, the number of windows, the cladding and a note about the job.

We use these details to answer your request, price the job and follow up with you about it. When you send the form, the website emails your request to us, sends you a copy, and keeps a copy on the website's server so a request is not lost if an email fails. If you call us, we see the number you call from and use it to call you back.

What the site collects when you visit

Like every website, ours receives some technical information with each visit: your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you view and the page that linked you here. Our server keeps this in its logs for a short time to run the site and protect it.

We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, such as which pages are read and which documents are downloaded, and Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to calls and quote requests. Both use cookies and similar technology, and Google may collect information about your activity on this site and on other sites that use its services. Cookies and your choices

The site sets no cookies of its own for visitors. Google Analytics and Google Ads set cookies to count visits and measure ads, and Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, may set one that tells people apart from automated traffic. Your choice of light or dark display is stored in your own browser and is never sent to us.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits with Google's opt-out browser add-on, and manage the ads Google shows you in My Ad Center.

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for honoring it, so the site does not change what it does when it receives one. The tools above still work.

Services that handle data for us

• Cloudflare delivers and protects the website. Its Turnstile check on the quote form confirms that a person, not a bot, is sending it.
• Brevo delivers the emails the website sends.
• Google provides Analytics and measures our ads.
• YouTube hosts our videos. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. Then the video plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, under Google's privacy policy.

Each of them handles data under its own privacy policy.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with other businesses for their marketing. We don't add you to a mailing list. We share information only with the services listed above, when the law requires it, or with a new owner if the business is ever sold.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests, and our emails about them, for as long as we need them to answer you, do the work and keep our business records. Server logs are deleted after a short time.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Call us at 1-866-922-1086. We will confirm who you are before we change or delete anything.

Children

This site is for contractors, building professionals and property owners. It is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection, and only the people who need your request to answer it can see it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable care to protect what you send us.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
